You cannot out train a bad diet.

You cannot out-train a bad diet. You can lift all the weights and run all the miles, but you can easily self-sabotage yourself with the foods that you choose to eat.

Everyone’s “perfect” diet will look different. What works for me may not work for you. However, I strongly believe that there are objectively “bad” food choices. This is not to say that you can’t enjoy certain foods that are high in calories and low in nutrients, but I do think that it is unethical to equate all food to the same standard.

I agree that calories are just a unit of measure, but I refuse to side with the trainers and coaches that say all food is equal. Moderation is key, but it’s very important to be honest with yourself when it comes to your own nutrition.

I have been on the extreme of both sides, and whether you are eating too little or too much is very likely to be the problem of why you are not achieving your goals in the gym.

Self-sabotage is so common, especially in the beginning of a person’s fitness journey, and I do not want you to make the same mistakes I did.

There are so many amazing and free sources out there that you can reference to teach you about health and nutrition. Talk to your doctor and see if they have any recommendations. If you have the means there are so many trainers, nutrition coaches, and dietitians who would love to guide you.

I believe in you. Take care of your body and find out what works best for you ❤️
